what's old is new again

today I will be reviewing another classic film that I feel changed motion pictures forever and that movie is "Psycho". I think the importance of this blog is to pay respect to movies that will forever give enjoyment in my life, to the world, and hopefully with this blog you guys out there can enjoy as well. If you have never seen "Psycho" before great because I'm about to tell you why you should see this timeless classic. when "Psycho" was released in 1960 it came with alot of controversy which in today's standards it is pretty tame but what makes this a great tale is a combination of things. first there's the story without giving too much away for does who have not seen the movie I'll say at first the film starts out one way and totally ends up in a whole other direction. secondly the music is amazing it's the first thing you hear when you watch this movie and you will hear it through out the film I feel the music is a remainder to the audience to expect the unexpected. even though the film is in black and white don't let that discourage you from a movie not to miss. lastly the film just got a re-release on blu-ray I totally recommend everyone young, old, men, and women to at least rent this movie, directed by the iconic film maker Alfred Hitchcock,he really out done himself in this one. if you haven't guess this film gets a 5 out of 5.

the first avenger

finally a trailor for the new movie captain america: the first avenger has come during the super bowl( yea I know i'm like two weeks late)and it looks okay. the reason why I said it's okay so far mostly because the suit. it kind looks a little cheesy to me and they was nothing in the trailor that got me really excited but,at least it seems it will be very fate to the source material. we also got our very brief first look at capt's arch nemesis the red skull, and so far he kinda looks cheesy he looks like jim carey's the mask. I still have high hopes for this, either way since i'm a huge comic book fan and a movie fan I will be seeing this one anyway when it releases on july 22, 20ll because i'm a huge nerd. rate this trailor a 3.

Xcellent X-men

wow the new trailor for the new movie x-men first class just came out a few days ago and it is totally awesome. I love how it begins with showing the professor x , and magneto in the future then showed how they will look in this movie, it's a good way getting prepared on what's instore for this movie. the trailor also let the viewer's know that this movie is a period piece, meaning it will be set not in our time period but in the 60's and you know this because you see president john f.kennedy. so far the new mutatants that are in this trailor i'm not familiar with them since they were not in the last three x-men movies, with the exception of mystique,and new comer emma frost from the comic books. this movie looks like it will bigger ,better, and more realistic than the last 3 x-men movies judging from the better special effects, costumes, and bigger more grander sets. I can't wait to see this movie because it will delve into a friendship (professor x,magneto) that we have seen but don't know what started it and see how it all crumples. based on the trailor this movie looks like a winner can't wait to see when it is released on june 3,2011. I rate this trailor a 5.

the new man of steel

the next man to be the man of steel in next year's blockbuster new superman movie has been chosen and his name is henry cavill ,but is he the right choice. who is he, where is he from and does he have the acting chops you say well luckly I have done a little research. the 27 year old british actor has been busy since 2001 and has been in over 10 films and 4 tv shows.  he has starred in movies like the "THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO","STARDUST", and his most well known role as "charles brandon" on the showtime show " THE TUDORS".I have watched some of his work on you tube and to be honest based on what I have seen I still don't know if he is the right guy for the job from watching does clips if he is good enough for the man of steel. the work that he usually does is shakespere type of roles that which shows he is a good actor  but,  I don't know how he will pull of the dual personality of nerdy"clark kent"/"strong and confedent hero "superman". well we are just going to have to wait and see if this guy can pull it off because so far he has  never done any thing like this before.

the greatest of all time

this is my first review and to remind you guys that my rating system is for 1 to 5( 1 horrible, 2 not worth your time, 3 rent, 4 don't miss, 5 a masterpiece).The first movie I will be reviewing is from the past and it will be on my favorite movie of ALL TIME and that is the original star wars. Star wars is a movie that changed my life. I saw the movie when I was a kid and I loved it I never saw anything like it, it had space fights, sword fights , comedy romance. For those who have never seen the movie it is a classic story of the hero saving the damsel in distress,but it ‘s more than that it is an epic tale. I love the movie so much because it was different it felt like I was watching a real universe everything felt like it lived for thousands of years, from the buildings in  mos eisley to the ships showing rust. Even the special effects was cutting edge because it created worlds that never existed for a movie created in 1977 that was a big deal. I hope to hear your responses too what do you guys think is the movie the greatest sci fi movie of all time or am I over rating it let me know.  I rate this movie a 5
